Copper Hills Little League serves the youth of Sahuarita, Green Valley and adjacent areas in Southern Arizona.
Our Mission: To instill in the children of the community the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage and respect for authority, so that they may be well adjusted, stronger and happier children and will grow to be good, decent, healthy and trustworthy citizens.
Friday, February 24 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Green Valley Fire Department - Training Room (1285 W Camino Encanto, Green Valley) is the CHLL Safety and League Operations Training Session for Managers. If you volunteered as a manager for a baseball or softball team, you must attend this session. Assistant coaches and interested parents are welcome to attend as well.
Here is the agenda for the training:
1. Welcome & Introductions
2. League Operations
3. The Role of the Manager
4. Managing & Coaching Tips & resources and “How to get the most out of practices”
5. Team Responsibilities
6. Safety/Emergency/First Aid Training (prevention, precaution, treatment)
A $10 late charge will be applied to all TeeBall, Coach Pitch, and Minors registrations completed after February 20 (players registered after that date will not be able to make special requests and may not have their uniform in time for Opening Day).
We are scheduled for the Manager training session this Friday (2/24) from 6 pm to 8 pm. Because of an event conflict, we may have to change the location, so stay tuned for more info. If you volunteered to manage this season, please plan to attend! You will get your team assignments at that session.
League coordinators are currently in the process of assigning players to teams and will continue to do so this week. Please be patient! There is no need to email or call board members to find out what team your player is assigned to. If you see team assignments on the website, they are still subject to change until next weekend (2/26). If a player registered before 2/20 and has not been assigned to a team by 3/1, then you can email CopperHillsLL@cox.net to let us know.
After February 20 (player may not have uniform for opening day)
Players will be required to attend a session to complete proof of residency, age verification and uniform fitting (Jan 21, Jan 28, Feb 9 or Feb 11, see schedule below for times).
If you are interested in being a Manager at any level, please respond to this email to let us know!
CHLL is 100% Volunteer operated and we need your help! If you are interested in volunteering in any way, (Manager, Assistant Coach, Team Parent, Umpire) please go online and complete the Volunteer Registration Form.
